Winding down from Antarctica/Falklands/Patagonia

We're in Buenos Aires now, with various members of our party starting to split off. Some have flights out tonight to Peru, some are leaving tomorrow for Iguazu, and some of us are flying home to Australia tomorrow afternoon. I've got lots of material to post about next week, but this is just a quick note to say this is the end of the daily updates for now. After the travel slog has finished and any jet lag done away with (early next week) we'll be back in business.

The expedition has been great! We got to spend lots of time in amazing locations, and we all learnt a lot about photography while we were there, from basic camera technique through Lightroom processing to stitching huge panoramas in Photoshop. Thanks to Aurora Expeditions for helping us put this together!

Time to get back to work (travel) now. Home here we come!
(Except for those lucky people with weeks more to travel of course.)

Day 26: Last day!

Packing, sharing images, end-of-expedition slideshow, and regret it's almost over. Still lots of birds tho.

Day 25: Sea day

Heading north again, much of the day was spent either processing photos or sleeping.

Day 24: Peninsula Valdes

The sea-lions stayed a bit further up the beach: the Orcas cruised by but didn't take anything.

Day 23: Orca Attack!

Some of us got to photograph Orcas taking sea-lions off the beach! We're all headed there tomorrow.
